7 day Forest
7 day Forest
A multiplayer simulation game where you grow a forest over seven days with strangers around the world.
7 day Forest is based on dreams of leaving behind traces of our existence. Rather than competing, players tend to a shared forest where actions--digging soil, planting seeds, and watering others' plants--leave behind an act of care for wanderers they won't meet. Each player leaves behind a permanent change in our shared world that outlasts any person.

This game was started & completed as a submission to thatgamecompany x COREBLAZER GAME JAM 2025.

7 days to grow a forest. Each forest cycle lasts exactly one week. By day seven, you'll either have a thriving ecosystem or a desolate wasteland.
Help strangers without meeting them. You'll never meet the other wanderers, but you'll feel their presence everywhere.
Diverse flora. Plants don't just grow—discover how they work together.
Journey through past forests. Yours will join the chronicle after the cycle ends.
Dynamic soundtrack. The sounds of the forest change with its health.
Minimalist visual style. With distinct color palettes.

This is a prototype build. We set up the server in the West Coast of the U.S., so expect a bit of lag if you're further away. There are probably bugs and things might not be working as intended. We made this during a three-week game jam.

I just played a full day and I'm impressed! I haven't actually played a lot of cozy/farming games so maybe take this with a grain of salt but I feel there's really something special here.
The beautiful art, soothing UI sounds and relaxing music flow so well together. I really like the minimalistic approach that they all seem to share. They definitively bring the gameplay together, even playing for just a day I felt very satisfied.
The first couple of minutes playing I was a bit lost, but after reading all the popup tutorials and finally realizing that I wasn't able to perform an action in a square if I was far away from it it all clicked - at first I thought the red circle meant that no action was available on that square, not that I was too far to perform it.
There's potential here. I could see some people would love to play a larger version of this on Switch to wind down at the end of the day, and the communal aspect would be the cherry on top!
Congrats!
It's absolutely wonderful in every sense! The game is very relaxing, and the presentation is amazing.
